To promote exchanges with European pulp and paper manufacturing enterprises, academic organizations, consulting and engineering enterprises, Zhao Guoang, Vice General Manager of Poly Sinolight, and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Haisum, and Zhou Yuan, Vice President and Technical Director of China Haisum, led a delegation to Finland, Austria and other countries for a series of business activities from April 8 to 12, 2024.

Zhao Guoang and his delegation visited paper industry ecosystem cooperation partners, including Andritz (Finland, Austria) and AFRY, and held discussions and exchanges. Zhao introduced the industry and business characteristics of China Haisum, as well as advantages in pulp and paper engineering, resources, processes, and services. During the exchanges, the parties discussed topics such as pulp and paper, carbon reduction, energy conservation, green energy, engineering consulting, design, and EPC services. In addition, the parties conducted in-depth discussions on cooperation areas outside the paper industry (such as energy conservation and environmental protection, lithium-ion new material), and cooperation opportunities outside the Chinese market, as well as cooperation models in technology R&D, intelligent manufacturing, etc., to actively seek new opportunities for cooperation.

During the visit, Zhao Guoang and his delegation were invited to attend the Pulp&Beyond 2024, an international pulp and paper exhibition held in Finland. Zhao, as the representative of China's pulp and paper industry, delivered a keynote speech on the theme of China's Paper Industry: Market Business towards Internationalization at the Finland-China Pulp and Paper Enterprise Forum.

He pointed out that papermaking technology is the link between China and Finland. Finland has advanced experience in pulp and paper integration and environmental protection, which is the goal pursued by China's paper industry. In the next five years, China's paper market is expected to maintain a significant increase in demand, providing an excellent opportunity for cooperation between China and Finland to deepen friendship.
